Olivia discovered Yoga in her late teenage years amidst confusion, anxiety and stress; the resonance she found with Yoga was an immediate connection, bringing balance and a soothing presence. She brings passion, enjoyment and a sense of empowerment to her classes, finding pleasure and relief in the movement and equally in the moments of stillness. In her teaching Olivia encourages using the breath and mindful movement to connect with the body, to help draw inward with intention to find a firmer and more consistent hold and access to all the power we have within.
The more we find this connection on the mat, the more accessible this feeling of contentment will translate off the mat in our day-to-day. Realising that education is nearly always the best motivation, she integrates a little science into her classes, so students feel inspired, confident in their Yoga practice, and a sense of achievement from exposing themselves to all of the neurological, physical, and emotional nurturing that Yoga provides.
I'm a very keen forager, I love nothing more than putting on my boots, grabbing my willow basket and filling it with seasonal delights. I enjoy making herbal homemade medicine, dried teas from foraged goods and I love to cook, all types of food. I also coincidentally deeply enjoy eating! I love to read, walk and be outdoors!
I love Peaceful Warrior. All the strength of Warrior postures, with a lovely softness and release of the side body.
Oh I have quite a few! To see the Northern lights would be one; I also would love to hike my way around Switzerland.
